I have a AD with 2 DC running windows server 2003, and a NT4 domain with PDC
and BDC. I use to have a twoway trust between them. We have to change IP's on
all our servers and the trust was broken. I remove the trust and am trying to
re establish it using the command netdom and also using the AD domain and
trust. but it will come with error message can not see the domain, or the
domain is not available. Is there any thing I have to do which is effected by
this change ip IP's.
Both the DC's are also the DNS servers and the PDC and BDC are WINS servers.
Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

Did you change the IP in WINS? This will have to be done on both domains.

Yes, I change all the IP's in WINS.
Is there a firewall in place with rules using the old IPs? Can you ping the
PDC emulator's NegBIOS name and get a response with the correct new IP from
the NT4 PDC, and vice versa?

Was there a partnership between the two WINS servers on both sides of the
trust? If so, did you change the partnerships to reflect the new IP?

When you look in WINS, does it show the domain records for the PDC emulator
for both domains?

Is or was there an lmhosts file entry with the old IPs on either the NT4 PDC
or the Windows 2003 PDC Emulator?

What I am trying to establish if there is all of the following. Please
elaborate on any of the items, and if I missed anything, let me know what
you've done so far to tech support this.

Network Connectivity
Firewall rules adjusted for the changes
NetBIOS Name resolution
Proper records are in WINS
