I'm getting a Kerberos Event ID 7 0x108 on one of my DCs,
Win2k SP4. It reads:

The Security Account Manager failed a KDC request in an
unexpected way. The error is in the data field. The
account name was 糊숗䟁骑ꊍ䆕ِ䬤崐䬤 and lookup type 0x108.

It appears to be an Unexpected SAM Failure that may be
related to kb# 812499. Problem is, the fix says it's
taken care of in SP4 and I'm at SP4.

Anyone have any ideas?

Hi,

Is your DC logging 5723 Netlogon errors also?

One of our remote DCs in a area with a really slow link (24K) was logging a
large number of event ID 7s along with 5723 Netlogon errors mentioning
various computer names.

The computers in question had experienced problems when they were joined to
the AD.

I reset the computer accounts using NETDOM and this instantly cured both the
5723 and the 7 errors on the DC.

Not sure if it applies in your case though.

Best Wishes
